Great show at Phil's... as usual! Wish I could have caught more of it but had to swap on and off babysitting duties with Liz. It's great being able to walk to the show and even hear you from our front porch. (Play at Phil's more!!!) I had a question for you guys. A friend at Phil's that night told me this was your 28th year playing Phil's and that you play Phil's twice every year. (I thought that sounded about right.) Then, he said that it's always been on the same month & day every year for those 28 years. Is that right? Just some BOE "trivia/history" I was curious about. Hey, I am ready to audition as the "current" base player. I have all the moves down. Is it important to be able to actually play any notes? It should only take me a short time to be ready... about 20 years or so. Reply: Ed, Auditions are now being held. Of course, having "all the moves" is most important.
